Keithley Auctions is owned and operated by Tim Keithley, longtime Ruidoso resident and auctioneer. You might be familiar with Tim’s voice from his many years in local and regional broadcasting, including his current position as the morning announcer on KWES-FM (93.5 FM). Tim has been on the radio for the better part of twenty years in Ruidoso and has also been involved in marketing, track handicapping, and television announcing for Ruidoso Downs Race Track for a generation. The Ruidoso Holiday Auction has been a dream of Tim’s for many years, dating back to his graduation from Missouri Auction School in the late 1980’s. Tim has volunteered his auction services and talent to various service clubs and organizations throughout the years, performed on-air auctions each holiday season for various charities, and conducted a few for-profit auctions in his career. 

 

“We feel fortunate to have created this Ruidoso Holiday Auction endeavor with several friends that I’ve associated with for many years,” Keithley said. “We are putting this inaugural event together in an effort to start something for area businesses on the Saturday following Thanksgiving to help draw attention to our businesses and attract tourists. We are looking forward to this inaugural Holiday Auction and hope that it will be successful for the businesses that participate.” The Holiday Auction will be held at the Ruidoso Convention Center on Saturday, November 25th starting at 10 a.m. and last until all of the items are sold that day. The Ruidoso Convention Center will be open for public viewing of all the items to be sold on Friday, November 24th from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Items being sold at the auction will be consigned by the participating business owners.
